{ My “Exciting News” OOTD / LOTD }

First of all – let’s talk about my weave.

(You should totally follow me on Instagram, by the way. Just shamelessly self-plugging my social media and saying.)

I’ve always thought it was totally wrong of me to be incarnated into this world wherein I am somehow not a fairy queen, but this wig obviously takes care of that. And yes I said wig. It’s awesome, I feel silly for waiting so long to jump on the bandwagon and I can achieve my dreams of pastel hair without doing damage. I have a hair journey post dedicated to wigs coming up soon, but this wig is what inspired my OOTD, so I thought it deserved some recognition.

This outfit was essentially my soul. I decided to really go for it with all my favourite things (kimonos, pastel hair, bell sleeves, celestial prints and good ‘ole All Star Converses. Yeah, I know it’s a bit early to be whipping them out, but I couldn’t resist.) and the result was . . .

“The casual Mia, exhausted from all her existential problem pondering, requires a lean against the wrought iron artwork gate, as she stares emotionally into the evening sun pondering more existential problems”

“The ancient dance of the Idiot tribe is a well-practiced tradition passed on from generation to generation to celebrate the beauty of life in its purest forms. And to attract ostriches. Because, ostriches.”

LAYERED NECKLACES GRUNG BOHEMIAN

I totally had to rock a layered necklace look because . . . well, it’s a fucking great look.

Now, what exactly is the “exciting news” part of my day? I am one follower away from 2k and 48 bloggers away from a 1k following of WordPress users! Guys. I cannot even believe it, I’m so excited.

Which means two things. One: there will be a giveaway. I have tried these before and failed miserably because P+P issues – but I now run an Etsy shop, so I know what I’m doing this time around. When I hit 1k WordPress followers, there will be a giveaway, so if you feel like waving people over to my blog I wouldn’t be against that idea. *Winks* And two is something I’ve always loved watching other bloggers do, which is FAQ – so, for every post until I reach 1k, you guys leave me questions under my posts and I’ll do a video answering them all!

Okay, so that’s my OOTD done, my good news shared and my wig revealed. Don’t forget to leave your thoughts on the outfit (like why did you pair the totally contrasting kimono, and why did it not look as bad as it should’ve?) and some questions for me to answer below – and have a wonderful day!

  1. This hair looks great on you! You can hardly believe it’s just a wig, it looks so natural xD It’s also slightly embarassing because I’m nearing my 100 follower mark lol…

  2. Damn girl! That wig really looks good on you! Love your outfit, but I don’t think I can pull off a look like that, hahah. And no really, how did the kimono and top go so well? I’m scratching my head here. I never know how to match two bold pieces of clothing. I usually keep it safe and match a solid colour with something printed. Tips?

    • Thank you lovely! I’m sure you could – embrace your inner witch! ;D I literally have no idea; it was really sunny earlier on so I was just chilling without the kimono and then my friend wanted to go out and I just threw it on and we were like…wait, does this actually GO? o.O I’d say for bold pieces, i usually match by colour – so no mixing two neon prints, but more neutral colours seem to work for me 🙂

      • Hahah everyone knows I’m a witch, I just have to learn how to express it! xD
        Hahah! That’s the best, really. When an unplanned outfit turns out awesome! I usually go for neutrals as well. So solid colours like a red with a neutral black or maybe even cream colours. I suck at matching prints, haha.
